Meet Our 2027 Head Boy and Head Girl Elect

Manzolwandle Primary School proudly announces the results of our learner leadership elections held on 17 August 2026, following an inspiring campaign season filled with courage, commitment and exceptional learner participation.

๐ŸŒฑ

A Celebration of Young Leadership

This election was about much more than winning positions. It was an opportunity for our learners to practise democracy, leadership, public speaking, responsibility and service. Every candidate who accepted a nomination, prepared a manifesto, ran a campaign and stood before the school community demonstrated remarkable courage.

We are immensely proud of the beautiful manifestos presented by our candidates and of the confidence they showed when sharing their ideas, promises and hopes for Manzolwandle Primary School.

๐Ÿ† The school community has spoken. We congratulate our elected Head Boy, Head Girl and their deputies, who will formally assume their leadership responsibilities for the 2027 school year.

๐ŸŒบ Our 2027 Leadership Team

Four young leaders have been entrusted by their fellow learners with the responsibility of helping to lead, serve and represent the school.

๐ŸŒฟ To Our Incoming Leadership Team

Congratulations on earning the confidence of your fellow learners. Being elected is an honour, but it is also a responsibility. Your titles will matter far less than the way you treat people, the example you set and the service you give.

๐Ÿ‘‚
Listen A good leader listens even when others disagree.
๐Ÿค
Serve Leadership means helping others rather than seeking privilege.
โš–๏ธ
Be Fair Treat every learner with dignity, respect and fairness.
๐ŸŒŸ
Lead by Example Let your behaviour speak before your title does.
๐ŸŒผ

We Are Proud of Every Candidate

An election result does not erase the qualities that led to a learner being nominated. The school community nominated each candidate because someone saw leadership, potential, courage and goodness in them. That remains true regardless of the final vote.

๐ŸŒท Head Girl Candidates

Siyamthanda Chamane
Xolile Zondi
Nosipho Makiya

๐ŸŒฑ Head Boy Candidates

Esonasipho Majola
Talente Mpofana
Owethu Ndzabe
Your leadership journey does not end here.

To those who were not elected: continue to raise your hands, continue to speak, continue to help others and continue to develop the qualities that caused your school to believe in you in the first place. Leadership is bigger than a badge or title. Some of the greatest leaders are those who continue serving even when there is no position attached to their name.

๐ŸŽค Courage Behind the Campaigns

We thank every candidate for preparing and presenting a manifesto, speaking in front of the school community and allowing their ideas to be heard. Public speaking requires courage. Asking others for their confidence and their vote requires even more.

The campaigns allowed learners to demonstrate creativity, communication skills, confidence and their understanding of what leadership should mean. Those lessons will remain valuable long after the election posters are taken down.

๐Ÿ’

Thank You to Our Parents and Families

We sincerely thank the parents and families who supported these children throughout the election process. Behind a confident learner is often a family that encouraged them, listened to their ideas, helped them prepare and reminded them that they were capable.

Thank you for helping us raise young people who are willing to stand up, participate and accept responsibility. Your support is an important part of their growth.

๐Ÿค

Formal Handover & Swearing-In

The newly elected Head Boy, Head Girl and their deputies are currently our 2027 leaders-elect. A proper leadership handover and formal swearing-in ceremony will take place towards the end of the year during a whole-school community gathering.

This occasion will provide an opportunity to recognise the outgoing leadership, formally welcome the incoming team and entrust them with the responsibility of carrying Manzolwandle Primary School’s values into 2027.

๐ŸŒธ Congratulations, Young Leaders

Congratulations to Sekelo Masondo, Zoellie Mhlongo, Siphosethu Mncwabe and Noluthando Mbhele. May you carry your new responsibilities with humility, courage, discipline and compassion.

And to every learner who stood as a candidate: we saw your courage, we heard your voice, and we remain proud of you.
