The Grade 7 Class of 2025 at Manzolwandle Primary School will forever be remembered as one of the finest cohorts in the history of our school. This exceptional group distinguished itself through an outstanding work ethic, exemplary behaviour, and a strong sense of discipline both in and out of the classroom. Their healthy spirit of academic competition pushed them to achieve excellence, while their dedication and talent in sport saw them represent Manzolwandle with pride and distinction. Because of the gratitude teachers felt for their conduct and consistent academic excellence, this class received a special honour for the first time in our schoolโ€™s history: the introduction of official learner leadership positions. Londiwe Makaula became the first ever Head Girl and Bandile Zondi the first ever Head Boy; Ntoza Sanelisiwe made history as the first Deputy Head Girl, alongside Dlamini Lethokuhle as the first Deputy Head Boy. The leadership journey was inspiring to witnessโ€”10 girls and 10 boys stood as candidates, delivered excellent manifestos, and the school voted with pride. These leaders represented our school on many occasions, and their speeches at eventsโ€”spoken with confidence in front of guests, assemblies, and parentsโ€”were truly inspiring. Their bravery and excellence at such a young age reminded us exactly why we love teaching. In the same historic year, Makaula Londiwe also became our very first Valedictorian and the best performing learner in the class. During Career Day, visitors were blown away by the conduct and discipline these Grade 7s displayed, and we enjoyed unforgettable debate momentsโ€”especially Jwara Enhleโ€™s passion and fearlessness in competition. Beyond the classroom, the class shone with talent: Mnguni Mendyโ€™s singing uplifted many school moments; in soccer, Sosibo Simtholile, Chamane Nhlakanipho, and Chamane Siyanqoba excelled, while Msomi Lungelo stood out as our toughest defender. Netball competitions were dominated by Bandezi Mawande, with Cele Siyamthanda , Ngubane Onele and Dlamini Nqobile proving unstoppable. Ladies soccer brought more prideโ€”excellent performances from Ngesi Olwethu and Bandezi Mawande, and who can forget Makaula Londiweโ€™s goals too. In academics, the race for the top never stoppedโ€”Mbatha Lethiwe, Ntoza Sanelisiwe, and Makaula Londiwe continuously battled for position one in the Top 10, with Mnyandu Amahle and Buthelezi Snothando (our โ€œlazyโ€ achiever!) pushing hard into the Top 3 each term. Magoso Olwethu, our passionate goalkeeper, and Miya Ndlelenhle, our mathematics star, always ensured the ground was ready for soccer, while Khumalo Akhona stood proud as our second-best in mathematics. We also celebrated creativityโ€”our resident artist, Mthalane Sakhile, amazed us with excellent drawings. And we will never forget the quiet, academically powerful learners who consistently delivered with humility and focus, including Mhlongo Sphumelelo, Gwala Snenhlanhla, and Mkhwanazi Eshile, to name a few. United, focused, and driven, this class will be remembered for their talent, leadership, and excellenceโ€”and for raising the bar for all who come after them.

Their courage to speak, compete, lead, and excel โ€” with respect and discipline โ€” will always be a proud chapter in Manzolwandleโ€™s story.
